BibofyPrivacy Policy

Bibofy ("we", "us") helps parents, teachers and students turn photos of lessons into practice quizzes. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We follow the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173).
What we collect
- Your email address, so you can log in with a one-time code.
- Your quizzes: the questions, answers, names, folders, subjects and scores you save.
- Quiz taker profiles you create: a name, an emoji or color, a grade, and an optional photo.
- Lesson photos you upload. They are sent to our AI provider only to write your quiz. We do not save the photos.
- Usage counts (how many AI requests you make each day), to keep the service fair and running.
How we use it
Only to run Bibofy: logging you in, writing and saving your quizzes, showing scores, and preventing abuse. We do not sell your data and we do not show ads.
Children
Bibofy is meant to be set up by a parent, guardian or teacher. Accounts should be created by an adult. Children may take quizzes under an adult's account. Please don't upload photos that show children's faces or personal details in lesson photos. A profile photo is optional; you can use an emoji instead.
Who helps us run Bibofy
- Supabase: login and database storage.
- Anthropic (Claude): reads uploaded lesson photos and writes quiz questions. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models by default.
- Vercel: website hosting.
These providers may process data outside the Philippines, under their own security and privacy commitments.
Keeping and deleting your data
Your quizzes stay in your account until you delete them. Deleted quizzes go to the bin, and "Delete forever" removes them. To delete your whole account and all its data, email hello@bibofy.com from the email you log in with.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to how it is used, by emailing hello@bibofy.com. You may also contact the National Privacy Commission of the Philippines.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above and tell users of important changes in the app.
